Solution Combustion Synthesis of Ni/Al2O3 Catalyst for Methane Decomposition: Effect of Fuel

چکیده

The synthesis of a 90% Ni/Al2O3 catalyst via solution combustion with various fuels was studied in this work. Catalysts high content the active component (i.e., nickel) were obtained as result Ni(NO3)2·6H2O and Al(NO3)3·9H2O mixtures fuel. fuels, such hexamethylenetetramine, glycine, urea, starch, citric acid, oxalic investigated. carried out furnace, temperature being raised from room to 450 °C at rate 1 per min. paper evaluates efficiency their effect on structure properties catalysts, well catalytic activity. used for hydrogen carbon nanofibers by methane decomposition bar 550 °C. catalysts tested vertical flow reactor without preliminary reduction. samples nanomaterials transmission electron microscopy, low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray diffraction. highest activity when acid specific yields 17.1 mol/gcat 171.3 g/gcat, respectively. Catalytic led formation cup-stacked nanofibers.
